Operation Rescue

Operation Rescue is a controversial Christian anti-abortion organization, founded in the United States by Randall Terry in 1986.

The group organizes public protests and prayer vigils in front of abortion clinics and public places, around the country. They are well known for their use of graphic symbolism in public protest of abortion, for campaigns directed at individuals involved in the abortion industry, and their advocacy of civil disobedience in opposition to abortion. For almost two decades, Operation Rescue has targeted public high schools around the United States, often littering the grounds with leaflets that display graphic photos of aborted fetuses.
