On Our Backs is a magazine featuring lesbian erotica for a lesbian audience. The magazine was created in 1984 by Debi Sundahl and Nan Kinney, and quickly acquired the editorial assistance of noted sex expert Susie Bright. In 1994, the magazine experienced financial issues, and, after being bought out by a new publisher (who issued only one magazine), disappeared from the market until 1998. H.A.F. Publishing now owns the magazine, and the original creators have moved on to other projects.

The title is an satirical reference to Off Our Backs , a long-running feminist newspaper regarded by some as prudish about sexuality.
