Olof (I) of Sweden

Olof was the king of Sweden when Ansgar made his second voyage to Birka in the year 854. He is said to have pillaged and conquered Kurland. He is mentioned by Adam of Bremen and by Rimbert.

He was contemporary with Erik Anundsson of the Icelandic sources, and probably his brother and co-ruler (see Diarchy).
