Oldham Roughyeds

Oldham Roughyeds RLFC are an British Rugby league club, currently playing in the League One of the National Leagues. They were known simply as Oldham RLFC until 1995 when they adopted the name Oldham Bears to co-incide with the start of Super League, of which they were founder members. In 1997 they went bankrupt; a new team with the current name was then formed to play at a lower level. The Roughyeds tag had been a long accepted nickname for the old club.

The team strip consists of red and white hooped shirts, black shorts and red socks.

They play their home games at Boundary Park, a ground which is best known as the home of Oldham Athletic F.C.. Prior to moving to Boundary Park they played at a ground known as The Watersheddings. During the 2002 season they played at Hurst Cross in the nearby town of Ashton-under-Lyne, due to a dispute with Oldham Athletic over the use of Boundary Park.
