Office of Justice Programs

The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) is the branch of the United States Department of Justice that focuses on crime prevention through research & technology development, assistance to state and local law enforcement and criminal justice agencies through grants, and assistance to crime victims. The major bureaus within include the National Institute of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), Office of Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), and the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC). OJP is headed by an Assistant Attorney General, with Tracy A. Henke currently serving as the acting Assitant Attorney General.
