Neset Ertas

Neset Ertas (Turkish spelling: Neşet Ertaş) is a Turkish folk singer, lyrics writer and a virtuoso of the traditional Turkish instrument bağlama. His profession in Turkish is known as halk şairi, which literally means poet of masses. He was born in the year of 1938, at Tırtıllar village of Kırşehir. His father Muharrem Ertaş was also a halk şairi. His mother's name was Döne.

Neşet Ertaş interprets the musical pieces following the Abdal tradition, following his father.
