Nelson Shin

Nelson Shin (born 1939) is the Korean-born founder and president of Akom Production Co., Ltd. In the seventies, Shin worked as an animator at the DePatie-Freleng Enterprises, where he worked on the Pink Panther films.

He founded Akom in 1985, located in Seoul, South Korea.

Much of the animation Shin's studio produced has been for American television series. Some of Akom's credits are: The Simpsons, X-Men, Invasion America and Arthur.

He is still doing many work for the animation and from 1999, he is making the animation feature film Empress Chung.

Akom's lead animator is the legendary Kim Jun-bok.
