Neil Reynolds

Neil Reynolds (born ca 1941) is a Canadian journalist and one-time politician.

After working as a journalist at the Sarnia Observer, London Free Press and Toronto Star, Reynolds became editor-in-chief of the Kingston Whig-Standard in 1977. Though he had been a supporter of the New Democratic Party in earlier years, he entered politics as the Libertarian Party of Canada's candidate in the 1982 by-election in the riding of Leeds—Grenville winning 13.4% of the vote. In May 1982 he became the party's leader but resigned in 1983 in order to continue his career in journalism.

Reynolds became editor-in-chief of the Saint John Telegraph Journal in 1992. He moved to the top position at the Ottawa Citizen in 1996 and, since 2000 has had the position of editor-in-chief at the Vancouver Sun.
