Neil Bogart, ( February 3, 1943 - May 8, 1982), was born in Brooklyn, New York.

Bogart is perhaps best known as the founder of Casablanca Records. He was also a singer in the 1960s, using the name Neil Scott .

He died of cancer at age 39.
