The National Optical Astronomy Observatory consists of four observatories under one management structure:

• Kitt Peak National Observatory
• Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory
• Gemini Observatory
• National Solar Observatory

It is run by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA), with a cooperative agreement with the National Science Foundation (NSF).
