Natalie Brown

Natalie Brown is a Canadian-born, contemporary R&B and pop singersongwriter.

She is one of the first artists to successfully launch a music career using the internet as her primary medium for publicity.

Since the release of her independent debut album Let the Candle Burn in 2000, Brown has performed at venues throughout North America. She has remained in the top ten on the internet's most recognized charts and has gained a loyal following of fans. Her single Run Away was featured along with songs from major-Label artists in Promo-Only's Rhythm Radio series. Her songs have been played on online and commercial radio world-wide.

Billboard Magazine notes her as one of the top ten emerging talents. Music from her debut album has been licensed to film and television (HBO, NBC, Paramount Pictures, VH1, and MTV) and international companies (Colgate) for advertisements. Her track Confused received an honorable-mention in the 2001 Billboard Song contest. Let the Candle Burn won the Just Plain Folks Music Award for Best R&B Song of 2001. The album was runner-up for JPF's Best R&B Album 2001.

After taking some time off from touring to rest, Brown returned to the studio to record the 2003 holiday album A Cool Christmas, a ten-song cool R&B/pop-influenced collection of holiday favorites.

Spring 2004 saw the U.S. release of Brown's singles I Wonder and Queen of Me. The songs garnered tremendous attention, and in July 2004 Queen of Me was released by Avex, Japan on the "Soul Essentials 7" series, together with songs by Rahsaan Patterson , Earth Wind & Fire, and others.
