Nansindlela School

Founded in 1993, Nansindlela School has 450 students from preschool to grade 12 (matric), with a staff of 20 teachers. It is situated in the Lebombo Mountains near the town of Ingwavuma, KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa. The school offers English-medium instruction to the local community which is predominately Zulu. The name Nansindlela means 'This is the way'.

The school has won a number of awards for its permaculture projects. Classroom blocks funded by the Embassy of Japan, the DG Murray Trust and from other private funding were opened in 2001 Minister of Education, Professor Kader Asmal and the Japanese Ambassador, His Excellency, Mr Yasukuni Enoki.
