Myriad (typeface)

(Redirected from Myriad (font))

Myriad is a typeface designed by Robert Slimbach and Carol Twombly . It is one of several fonts to imitate Adrian Frutiger’s eponymous Frutiger. Since the launch of the iMac in 1998, Myriad has been replacing Apple Garamond as Apple Computer's corporate font. It is now used in all of their marketing and on their products.

It is the Mac OS X system font, replacing Chicago (used for Mac OS versions 1.0 - 8.6.1) and Charcoal (Mac OS 9 system font).
