Montreal Wanderers

The Montreal Wanderers were a professional hockey team that played in Montreal, Quebec, first in the National Hockey Association, then in the National Hockey League in the 1917-18 NHL season. They had played only six games in the NHL, losing all but one, when the Montreal Arena burned down on January 2, 1918, and the team was disbanded.

The team included five future Hockey Hall of Fame members: Moose Johnson , Hod Stuart , Riley Hern , Lester Patrick, and Ernie Russell .
