Mohammed Abdel Wahab, also transliterated Mohammed Abd el-Wahaab (1907 - March 31, 1991), is a prominent 20th century Arab-Egyptian singer and composer. Born in Cairo, Egypt, Abdel Wahab played oud before the Prince of Poets Ahmed Shaoqi . Abdel Wahab acted in several movies. He composed 3 songs for Omm Kalthum. He was the first to do silent acting then record the singing in a later time. He did that in France, when faced some troubles shooting a film. He died March 31, 1991.
