The Memphis Improvisational Theatre is the only professional improvisational training center and production company in the Memphis, Tennessee area. It was founded by Executive Producer Greg Childers in 2003. It is dedicated to the ongoing artistic development of its actors, the entertainment and enlightenment of its audiences, and the enhancement of the theatre community both locally and beyond. The training center offers classes in improvisational acting and improvisation for business. The performance company performs longform improvisation, as well as improvisationally created sketch comedy and multimedia performances.
