The Medical College of Ohio is a medical school located in Toledo, Ohio. It was founded in 1964, and the first medical students began their studies there in 1969.
The components of the Medical College of Ohio are the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, School of Allied Health, and the Graduate school. The Medical College of Ohio campus consists of three hospitals with a combined capacity of 320 beds -- the MCO Hospital, MCO Rehabilitation Hospital, and the Kobacker Center, a child and adolescent psychiatric hospital.
Each year, the college enrolls approximately 2,000 students, with 500 in the School of Medicine, 500 graduate students, and 1,000 undergraduate nursing students.
