Mark Bowden

Mark Robert Bowden (II) (born July 17, 1951) is an accomplished American writer. Bowden has been a staff writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer since 1979. He is a winner of numerous awards, and has received major international recognition after his book Black Hawk Down: A Story of Modern War, which was turned into a film by Ridley Scott in 2001.
