Marinella

Marinella (b. 20 May 1935) is a popular Greek singer. Her real name is Kyriaki Papadopoulou and she was born in Salonica. She entered discography in 1957 with the song "Nitsa Elenitsa" (Little Helen). She worked with popular folk singer Stelios Kazantzidis. Marinella took part in the Eurovision Song Contest of 1974, which was the first that Greece participated. Her entry came eleventh and was the song "Ligo krasi, ligh thalassa kai to agori mou" (Little wine, Little sea and my boyfriend"). She also took part in some Greek musicals, both as a singer and an actress.

In 1998, Marinella performed in the Music Hall of Athens.
