Mahesh Bhupathi

Mahesh Shrinivas Bhupathi (born June 7, 1974, Madras, India) is a professional tennis player from India. He turned professional in 1995. He currently resides in Bangalore.

1999

In 1999, he won three Doubles titles with Leander Paes including Roland Garros and Wimbledon. He and Leander became the first doubles team to reach finals of all four Grand Slams in same year since 1952. On April 26, they became the no. 1 doubles team in the world. He also won the US Open mixed doubles with Ai Sugiyama of Japan.
