Mach Rider is an arcade video game created by Nintendo. It was released in October 1985 for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

The Story and Different Modes

Mach Rider takes place in the year 2112, and planet Earth has been invaded by evil forces. You play as Mach Rider, who travels from sector to sector destroying the enemies in your path.

On the Fighting Course mode, you travel across 10 sectors, and try to avoid being destroyed by obstacles and enemies.

In Endurance Course mode, you race a certain amount of miles within a time limit while enemies get in your way and try to throw you off course. Solo Course mode is the same as Endurance Course, except it has no enemies.

The last mode of gameplay is Design Mode, where you get to design your own sector.

Super Smash Bros. Melee has a remix medley of the Mach Rider soundtrack and a Mach Rider trophy.
