Ludwig Haetzer

Ludwig Haetzer (also Ludwig Hetzer, Ludwig Hätzer and sometimes Ludwig Hatzer) was an Anabaptist and associated with the Protestant reformation in Germany. He wrote an article against the uses of images in worship, translated some Latin evangelical texts regarding the conversion of Jews, translated portions of the Bible into German and wrote a booklet discouraging the consumption of Alcohol.

Haetzer regarded Jesus as a leader and teacher only; not devine and not an object of worship. He was executed in 1529.
