Center of research at Boston College based on the teachings of 'Bernard Lonergan, S.J. , who is thought of as one of the leading 20th century philosophers. Lonergan explored the idea of 'inquiry,' and what it entails.

The Center offers courses and seminars on Lonergan, his principal writings, and subjects which those writings illuminate, such as hermeneutics, political theology, science and religion, Christology, philosophy of art, self-knowledge, economics, the Trinity, and the history and philosophy of science and mathematics.

The Lonergan Center is also responsible for the Perspectives and PULSE programs at Boston College, which are interdisciplinary projects dealing with philosophy, service, and other aspects of academia.
