Liz McColgan

Liz McColgan (born March 24, 1964) is a former Scottish long distance track and road running athlete.

Born in Dundee, she won gold in the 1991 World Championships in Tokyo, Japan at 10,000 metres, and was voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year. She also won a gold medal in the 1986 Commonwealth Games, and a silver medal in the Seoul Olympics in 1988. In 1996, she won the London Marathon with a time of 2 hours, 27 minutes and 54 seconds.
