Slane Concert, or Slane as it's more commonly known as, is a concert held every year in Slane Castle in Slane Ireland. It typically occurs on a saturday in August, from 12 to 10pm. The grounds of Slane Castle form a natural Amphitheatre. Attendance is usually around 80,000.

The 2001 concerts were the only time it was held twice in one year, both time headlined by U2

There is a belief by many people, that Slane alternates every year between good and bad. While this is only a matter of opinion, the 2001 and 2003 concerts sold out immediatly, while the 2002 and 2004 concerts didn't.
