Liu Sheng

Liu Sheng (d. 113 BC) was a Chinese prince of the Han dynasty. He reigned from 157 BC to 141 BC. His father was Emperor Jing.

He died before his wife and was interred in a mound 95 miles from Beijing, in Hebei province . His tomb was unearthed during construction in 1968. The total space of the tomb is about 2,700 cubic metres, and vagely resembles a human body. He and his wife, Tou Wan , were both buried inside suits of 2,498 plates of solid jade connected with two and a half pounds of gold wires. 2,800 funerary offerings were also unearthed.
