List of the Roman Catholic dioceses of the United States
In addition to the 195 dioceses, there are several other dioceses in the nation's overseas dependencies. There are also dioceses and eparchies of the Eastern Rite. A special archdiocese was created by the Vatican for the United States military. Such bodies are also organized into metropolitan provinces of their own. All bishops, prelate and auxiliary, are members of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Province of AnchorageThe Metropolitan Province of Anchorage is comprised of the state of Alaska. Province of AtlantaThe Metropolitan Province of Atlanta is comprised of the states of Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Province of BaltimoreThe Metropolitan Province of Baltimore is comprised of all but five counties of the state of Maryland, and all of the states of Delaware, Virginia and West Virginia.
Province of BostonThe Metropolitan Province of Boston is comprised of the states of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

Province of San Juan de Puerto RicoThe Metropolitan Province of San Juan de Puerto Rico is comprised of the United States Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
