List of Chiefs Turkish General Staff
The Chief Turkish General Staff is a military person of rank general , who presides the general staff of the armed forces -army , navy , air force - of Turkey .
According to the Turkish constitution, in peacetime, he reports to the Prime Minister and serves as the Commander of the Turkish Armed Forces . In times of war, he assumes the "Commander in Chief " authority on behalf of the President . The General Command of Gendarmerie and the Coast Guard Command, as a part of the intemal security forces, are affiliated with the Ministry of Interior Affairs at peacetime, whereas at war-time, they fall under Army Command and Navy Command, respectively
