Lisa Maxwell was born in November 1963. She trained at Conti School and first acted on TV in the BBC TV series Ballet Shoes.

She then went on to become a presenter, before getting her own TV progreame, the "Lisa Maxwell Show ".

She started on "The Bill" in 2002.

She is engaged to sculptor Paul Jessup .
