Kurmanji

Kurmanji (Kurdish: kurmancî or kirmancî) is the major Kurdish dialect spoken in Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, the ex-Soviet states and by Kurds living in Central Asia. Almost 65% of all Kurds speak this Kurdish dialect. The other great Kurdish dialect is Sorani that is widely spoken in Iraq and Iran.

- In Turkey: 80% of the Kurds living there. Except for the regions of Elazig , Bingol and Dersim (Tunceli).

- In Syria: All (100 %) the Kurds there.

- In Iraq: 35% of the Kurds in Iraq. In the region of Badinan in the cities of Dahuk, Zakho, Amedi, Sinjar , Mosul, Akre , Barzan .

- In Iran: 30% of the Iranian Kurds. In the Kurdish regions that border the Urmia-lake and up north. All the Kurds in Khorasan.

- In Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan: All the Kurds

- In Lebanon: All the Kurds there.

- In Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazachstan and other Central-Asian states. All Kurds
