Kinship group

A Kinship Group is a collection of people based on a relationship of common ancestry: blood, marriage, adoption, and or affliation such as god-parents and so on. Common kinship groups include clans, sibs , the moiety, descent groups , the family, the nuclear family, and the extended family.

Fictitive kinship is that based on placing unrelated people in the role of kin, such as god-parents.
