Kevin Poole (born July 21, 1963 in Bromsgrove, England) is an English football player and goalkeeper who currently plays for Bolton Wanderers F.C..
A football veteran, his first team was Aston Villa F.C., who he joined at the end of the 1980-81 season, playing 28 league games from apprentice level, intercalating a loan spell at Northampton Town F.C. from November 8, 1984. He moved to Middlesbrough F.C. in 1987, a year after a relegation season which saw them drop out of the old Division Two, and left them at the end of the 1990/91 season which saw them finish seventh in the same league.
He moved from Middlesbrough to Leicester City F.C., four months after a loan spell at Hartlepool United F.C. from March 27, 1991. Poole made 163 appearances for Leicester, between 1991 and May 31, 1997.
Having taken three months away from playing football during May and August of this year, he moved to Birmingham City F.C. in August 1997, achieving a regular place thanks to a lingering injury to Ian Bennett in November 1998. However, soon enough he found himself struck by injury, and found himself unable to aid the team until he was released in May 2001, moving to Bolton Wanderers F.C. in October.
He has found most of his appearances for his current club due to injuries to Jussi Jaaskelainen, in a deal which has assured him a place at the club at least until the end of the 2004/05 season.
