Ken Pentel

Ken Pentel is a United States politician. He ran unsuccessfully for Governor of Minnesota as a Green in 1998 (losing to then-Reformist Jesse Ventura) and in 2002 (losing to Republican Tim Pawlenty). Prior to running for Governor, Pentel was a community activist.

Pentel worked as a field manager, volunteer organizer, and spokesperson for Greenpeace from 1986 to 1997. He also organized a community group to stop the Dakota County Incinerator from being built, and served on the Steering Committee for the Prairie Island Coalition in 1993 and 1994.

Pentel was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
