Kawanishi, HyogoKawanishi (川西市; -shi) is a city located in Hyogo, Japan. As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 156,619 and the density of 2,930.74 persons per km². The total area is 53.44 km². The city was founded on August 1, 1954. It is located in the northwestern part of the Kansai Region .
