Katrina vanden Heuvel

Katrina vanden Heuvel is the editor of the famed magazine The Nation, known for its liberal political leanings regarding both foreign and domestic matters. She has been the magazine's editor since 1995.

Awards

Katrina vanden Heuvel has received several awards. Her article "Right-to-Lifers Hit Russia" won her the Maggie Awards from Planned Parenthood. She was a recipient of The American-Arab Anti-discrimination Committee's 2003 "Voices of Peace" award. In addition to various other awards, Heuvel has also been recognized by the New York Civil Liberties Union, a branch of the much larger American Civil Liberties Union.
