Katrina Elam

Katrina Elam (b. December 12, 1983) is an American Country Music Singer signed to Universal South Records.

Katrina was born in Bray, Oklahoma a town of 1,035 people. She performed in a 4-H Talent Show at the age of 9. The Oklahoma Country Music Association and the Oklahoma Opry each named Katrina its female vocalist of the year in 1998. The first song she wrote, got the attention of Cris Lacy, the A&R director at Warner-Chappell Music. She subsequentally recieved a publishing contract, she was 16 at the time. She spent so much time in writing sessions that her mother took over her schooling for her senior year. After she completed her education a year later she moved to Nashville. Lacy helped Katrina Elam secure a contract with Universal South and Tony Brown and Jimmie Lee Sloas produced her self titled album released on October 5, 2004. The first single for this album is the love song "No End in Sight". In January of 2005, Katrina was named the New Now artist by Yahoo! Launchcast. Katrina went on tour with Keith Urban in the latter part of 2004 and is joining him for his "Alive in '05" Tour. News sources in early March announced Elam's marriage which will take place this August.[1]
