Joseph Kent (b. January 14, 1779, d. November 24, 1837), a Whig, was a United States Senator from Maryland, serving from 1833 until his death in 1837. He also served in the House of Representatives from 1811-1815, and from 1819-1826, and as Governor of Maryland from 1826-1829.
