Jorge Posada

Jorge Posada [HOR-hay po-SA-da] (born August 17, 1971 in Santurce, Puerto Rico) is a switch-hitting catcher who plays for the New York Yankees. He was drafted by the Yankees in the 24th round of the 1990 amateur draft and made his debut in the 1995 season.

In nine seasons with the Yankees, Posada batted .270 with 135 homeruns, 526 RBI, 449 runs, 181 doubles, five triples, and nine stolen bases in 866 games.
