Jon Schwartz

Jon Schwartz refers to either of 2 Southern California musicians of the late Twentieth Century: Jon (Jonathan) Schwartz singer and bass guitarist of The Rainmakers. This talented musician began teaching English at John F. Kennedy High School John F. Kennedy High School -- a 10th to 12th grade school of the LAUSD in Granada Hills, California in 1998. During the accreditation of the school in 2001, a member of the accreditation team said Schwartz had the best rapport with his class of any teacher she had ever seen.

Jon "Bermuda" Schwartz is a drummer best known for working with the parodist/musician/songwriter/comedian "Weird Al" Yankovic. The two met while recording "Another One Rides The Bus" at the Dr. Demento show on September 14, 1980 and have worked together ever since. He created Al's web site in 1995 and continues to maintain weirdal.com, and his own www.bermudaschwartz.com. He's also known for his unsurpassed collection of Al audio/video items and memorabilia. Jon has also been known to post often on the Sabian cymbals message board under the name "Bermuda."
