John Selby Spence (b. February 29, 1788; d. October 24, 1840) was an American politician. He served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives (1823-1825, 1831-1833) from the state of Maryland, and as a U.S. Senator from Maryland from 1936 until his death in 1940. He was also a member of the Maryland House of Delegates and Maryland State Senate
