John P. Walters is the current Director of the National Drug Control Policy or "Drug Czar". He was sworn in under the Bush Administration on December 7, 2001. Before this, he had various other positions at the Office of National Drug Control Policy including chief of staff for William Bennett and Deputy Director for Supply Reduction .
