John Lynch (NFL)

John Terrence Lynch (born September 25, 1971 in Hinsdale, Illinois) is a standout American football defensive back in the NFL who currently plays for the Denver Broncos. He was drafted out of Stanford University by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round (82nd pick overall) of the 1993 NFL Draft. After many years with the Buccaneers, Lynch signed a free agent contract to join the Broncos prior to the 2004 season.

In 1992, Lynch, who was a two sport star in both baseball and football at Stanford, threw the first pitch ever for the Florida Marlins organization, for a minor league affilate of the Marlins.
