Jif (peanut butter)

Jif is the name of a brand of peanut butter made by The J.M. Smucker Co., a subsidiary of Procter & Gamble. It first debuted in 1958 and became very popular among kids and adults alike. In 1974, Extra Crunchy Jif was introduced, to even bigger sales. In an effort to be health-conscious, the makers of Jif put Simply Jif on the market in 1991; this peanut butter had less sodium and sugar than regular Jif. Taking the healthy craze one step further, Reduced Fat Jif was introduced in 1995.

Jif has been the best-selling peanut butter in the United States since 1981.
