Jannah

In Islamic eschatology, Jannah is a place where Muslims believe they will go after death, if they have been loyal to Allah. It is often compared to Christian concepts of Heaven.

According to Islamic belief, following death one will appear before Allah and Muhammad, as well as all of his companions. Among other factors, one deserves to enter Jannah if one had prayed five times daily, fasted during the month of Ramadan, and donated to the poor and needy. In general, though, Muslims believe that only Allah knows who may enter Jannah and who may not.

In contrast to Jannah, the words Jahannam and Narr are used to refer to the concept of hell.
