Jan Twardowski

Jan Twardowski (born in 1915) is famous Polish poet, but, as he says about himself, he's first priest. He writes short, funny but clever rxymed texts.

He was born on 1st of June 1915. He finished a school in Warsaw, where he started writing poems. While World War II he belonged to Home Army and fought in Warsaw Uprising. After War he studied Polish at University. He became a priest and learned in school for mentally-ill children. However he was still writing. Jan Twardowski writes short, funny and clever poems. In a soft way he tells about disadvantages of people and how beautiful nature is. Priest has a sense of humour and says, tat we should be happy, even when something bad happens.
