Jamie Cann

Jamie Charles Cann (June 28 1946-October 15 2001) was a politician in the United Kingdom. He was Leader of Suffolk Council , then became Labour Member of Parliament for Ipswich in the 1992 election.

He was a Eurosceptic, and voted against equalising the age of consent for same-sex relations. In 1998 he was fined a thousand pounds, and disqualified for 18 months for drink-driving.

He died in office, after a spell in hospital. In the by-election for his seat, Chris Mole won.
