James Anthony (born James Anthony Pecchia) was born in Toronto, Ontario in 1955. He started playing the guitar at age nine. He was side man to over 150 blues and rock legends. Anthony is equally at home on electric, acoustic and slide guitar.

Anthony now resides in Burlington, Ontario and owns Grapevine Recording Studio. He is still very active in the blues community as a studio musician, producer, and arranger. Now, as a front man, he plays at blues festivals across the globe.

To date James has three CDs: Nite School, Play Something You Know, and Soul Shoes.
