James Alexandrou (born April 12, 1985) is a British actor from London.

His first major television role was that of Martin Fowler in the dramatic BBC One soap opera EastEnders. In 1996 after years of drama studying James auditioned for and subsequently got the role of Martin Fowler. James’s character Martin has had a number of turbulent years, going from bad to worse. Martin had been involved with drugs, lies, and family bickering, but nowadays he is more in touch with the people around him. The last few months have been good for Martin Fowler; he has married Sonia Jackson (played by Natalie Cassidy ), and purchased a house (along with his mother Pauline, played by Wendy Richard). In December 2004 Martin went to the United States with Sonia in order to recover from a near fatal stabbing, at the hands of bunny boiler Sarah. Most recently, he and Sonia got in contact with their daughter, Chloe, who they gave up for adoption five years previously.
