Jake Scott

Jake Scott was a safety and punt returner for the Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins. He was born in 1945 and played his first NFL season for the Dolphins in 1970.

Jake Scott was a member of the "perfect" Dolphins squad of 1972, and finished that season as Super Bowl MVP of SuperBowl VII . He was also a member of the only other Miami Dolphin championship team when they won the following season. He wore number 13.

Scott went to the Pro Bowl five consecutive times between 1971, and 1975. He recorded 35 interceptions in his six seasons as a Dolphin, and another 14 in his three years with the Redskins.
