Jake Delhomme (born January 10, 1975 in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana) is an American football quarterback for the Carolina Panthers NFL franchise.
Delhomme played college football for University of Louisiana at Lafayette and was not picked by any team in the NFL Draft. Before joining the Panthers in 2003, Delhomme was a backup quarterback for the New Orleans Saints. He also played in the NFL Europe League and was a backup quarterback to future NFL and Super Bowl MVP, Kurt Warner.
In his first season with the Carolina Panthers, he led the Panthers to a 11-5 winning record and to their first Super Bowl appearance.
During the 2004 preseason, Delhomme was named to the Panther's 10-year anniversary team as the team's best quarterback during the first ten years of the franchise.
